Rebecca Ward graduated from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado in 2014 with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in History. She took some time to travel through Europe and Nicaragua before starting a Master of Arts program with the University of Oklahoma in 2015. She completed her Master of Arts in Museum Studies in 2017. Rebecca has been an interpreter and educator in various forms for the last 10 years everywhere from Mesa Verde National Park in Southwest Colorado to the Boston Harbor Islands in Massachusetts. Most recently she was the educator at a small museum in Worland, Wyoming where she worked primarily with children, but also taught some adult sourdough bread classes in partnership with the University of Wyoming’s Extension Office in Worland. Rebecca is excited to impart some of the history and culture of Northern New Mexico to the visitors of Los Luceros Historic Site. In her spare time Rebecca likes to bake, explore the area, and visit as many museums and historic sites as she can.
